The project involved creating
ceramic tile murals on two exterior walls of a building near the presidential
residence in the historic neighborhood of Sam-Chung Dong in Seoul, Korea.
During the creation of the commission, Muhn used Korean traditional ceramic
techniques in expressing his contemporary concepts and images. He used one-foot
square ceramic tiles on which he painted his own images with vivid colors
and fired each of the tiles at 2291 F degrees.
